Osmaniye , being host for Hittites, Assyria Civilization, Greeks, Ancient Roma and Byzantine Empires one after another ever since the first Antique Ages was ruled by Turks in 12. century After Omayyad / Umayyad Caliphate and Abbasid Caliphates.

Osmaniye was declined as a city in 1996. It is located on  a heavy traffic location as connecting Cukurova to East / Eastern part of Anatolia. Being  a small and cute city with fertile and rich agriculture land and with it's forests , it also holds a great tourism potential in this region within it's borders with it's Karatepe, Aslantas Open Air Museum and with it's antique cities.

Camping and Accommodation in international statue, daily nature and mountain walking tours and other type of natural sports are some of the activities that Osmanyie provides to it's visitors.

Kastabala Valley, Kirmitli Birds Paradise and the high hills of Amanos Mountains are some of the important Bird Watching area / spots of the county.

Places to visit in Osmaniye

Karatepe - Aslantepe Open Air Museum; The structure was firstly established as a border castle by Azatiwatis (a late Hittites King) in  8th Century B.C. The Caravan Road on the west was in the place of today's Aslantas Dam Lake. The city surrounded by high towers and castles is being estimated as ruined and left by Assyrians in 720's or 680's B.C.

Bodrumkale - Kastabala City (Hierapolis); It is one of the oldest and one of the most important ruin places of Ottoman Empire with it's 2 churches, Ancient Roma Bath (Hamam), column street,5000  people capacity antique theater, stadium, water arch, ruins and rock carving tombs surrounding the whole city.

Castles; Karatepe - Aslantas Late Hittites Castle, Toprakkale Castle, Hemite / Amuda Castle, Kaypak / Savranda Castle, Cardak, Bodrum Castle - Kastabala Hierapolis City, Savranda, Karafenk and Babaoglan Castles.

Mosques; Ala Mosque, Agcabey Mosque and Envar-ul Hamit Mosque.
Cancan Tomb / grave caves around Karapinar Area is one of the must-see places of Osmaniye City.
Zorkun Plato is one of the oldest and most important plateaus of the city located on the hills of Amanos Mountains. Every year kid's festival which getting traditional more and more is being held in this place. Besides the plateau provides great opportunities and availability for camping.

Maksutoglu Plateau is another highlight of the city with it's local wooden house and plateau houses.
Bagdas Plateau is a camping and picnic recreation spot of the area.
Hasanbeyli - Alman - German Spring Plateau is established among vineyard and gardens. It is a great location for picnic and nature lovers with it's countryside restaurants, cafes, convenient stores and bakeries.
